Where concerts happen in Austin

Concerts in Austin range from arena tours at Moody Center to club nights at Antone's Nightclub and Emo's. ACL Live at The Moody Theater, a 2,750-person room, is home to the PBS series Austin City Limits and books alternative, rock, country and R&B. Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park in downtown Austin books concerts year-round. Stubb's is mostly rock. Antone's mixes rock, blues and R&B, and Emo's books rock, Latin and pop.

Moody Center books arena tours in rock, pop and country. Outside the city, Gruene Hall in New Braunfels was built in 1878 and calls itself Texas' oldest continually operating dance hall. Its shows lean toward country and blues.

Moody Amphitheater lists Capital Metro bus stops near the venue, including Lavaca and 15th Street, Trinity and 12th Street, San Jacinto and 14th Street, and Red River and 11th Street. ACL Live is at 310 West Willie Nelson Boulevard. The venue says it has no affiliated parking garage but that many options are nearby, and that downtown parking can take time.
