Moody Center guide: seating, bag policy and parking (2026)

Moody Center's arena maps show sections 101–124 all the way round the 100 Level and 205–220 on the 200 Level, in a venue of 15,000+ seats. Bags must be clear and no larger than 14" x 14" x 6", or a clutch up to 5" x 9" x 1.5", and you can pre-purchase parking at garages nearby, with Manor Garage the closest.

Seating

  • Arena maps: Moody Center's arena maps page shows the outside of the arena and three levels: the 100 Level, the H-E-B Suite Level and the 200 Level. None of them shows a stage.
  • 100 Level: sections 101–124, all the way round. On the map, numbers go up clockwise from 101 at the West Gate end.
  • 200 Level: sections 205–220, along both sides and the east end. The map shows none at the west end.
  • Stage: the premium seating graphic on the Premium Experience page shows the stage at the 101 end of the floor, with 101, 102 and 124 behind it and 112–114 facing it from the far end.
  • Your ticket: every ticket has a portal number or club, as well as section, row and seat. Enter the seating bowl at the portal on your ticket; any entrance gets you to it.
  • Entrances: guests generally enter through the West, East or Gottesman Gates. Guests with VIP packages or GA floor or pit tickets may be emailed a specific gate before the show.
  • Capacity: Moody Center is a 15,000+ seat venue, and says it has the largest event floor in the nation.
  • Accessible seating: wheelchair-accessible and low-mobility seating is on each level, at comparable prices and sight lines. Buy it on Ticketmaster using the accessibility tab under "filters"; the number and types of accessible tickets vary by event. West Gate A, closest to the UT Team Store, is the designated accessible entrance.

Bag policy

Moody Center has a clear bag policy. Clear plastic bags no larger than 14" x 14" x 6", one-gallon clear resealable storage bags, and non-clear clutches or wallets no larger than 5" x 9" x 1.5" are allowed.

The arena asks guests not to bring a bag at all.

Any other bag isn't allowed, including totes, mesh or straw bags, duffles, diaper bags and camera or binocular cases. Put the things you'd carry in a diaper bag into a clear plastic bag.

Everyone passes through metal detectors on the way in, and you and your belongings may be searched.

Not allowed: bottles or cans of any kind, even empty, food or drink of any kind (except snacks needed for medical reasons), laptops and tablets, cameras with detachable lenses, selfie sticks and tripods, noisemakers such as whistles and air horns, signs, banners and flags, and umbrellas larger than 12", among other items.

Parking

  • Pre-purchase: you can buy your parking spot ahead at garages near Moody Center. Check your event listing for garage opening times.
  • Manor Garage: pre-pay only, with no drive-up payment on event days. The entrance is on Clyde Littlefield Dr., and it's a 2–3 minute walk to the arena.
  • Trinity Garage: on Trinity St., off E. 15th St., a 7–8 minute walk to the arena.
  • The parking page also lists Parking Garage B, State Garage G and State Garage R.
  • Leave early: expect heavy traffic and construction around the venue. The Southbound I-35 upper deck exit 235A to Martin Luther King Jr Blvd is permanently closed; use the lower deck exit.
  • Rideshare: Lyft is the Official Rideshare Partner of Moody Center. Pickup and drop-off are at Lot 37, the LBJ Library parking lot, one block north of the venue off Red River St. and Clyde Littlefield Dr.
  • Bus: take Capital Metro's high-frequency Routes 7, 10 or 20.
  • Accessible parking: first come, first served in each available garage. Manor Garage is the closest garage to Moody Center.
  • Moody Center doesn't list parking prices on its site.
